Yes! The NNPS student number that has been used this year will follow your child as long as he/she attends a NNPS school. This number can be found on their bus tag. This year they were given a card to hand to the cashier at lunch. Starting next year, they will need to learn their number and be able to input it themselves, and it will also be used for computer logins. You can help by working on helping your child learn his/her number!

If you would like to request a certain teacher, you need to put your request in writing. The office does not accept verbal or telephone requests for teachers. Submitting a written request to the office is the best chance for getting the teacher that you want, but it is not a guarantee, as there are also other considerations when placing students.

No! As a First Step student, your child is already in the NNPS system. Their records will automatically be sent to their zoned school (unless other arrangements have been made). The school will be indicated on your child’s final report card. You may want to call his/her new school in August to be sure that everything is ready for your child. If you have moved or are planning to move over the summer, you will need to check to be sure that the records are sent to the correct elementary school.
